Two sentences into one

My husband, who directs the Institute of French Studies at NYU, just revised an email he was writing:

FIRST VERSION: I’d like to invite you to give a lecture at the Institute. The lecture should be in French.

SECOND VERSION: I’d like to invite you to give a lecture, in French, at the Institute.

So much better!
